Essential session storage
The skoptic_session cookie identifies a protected server session. It is HttpOnly, uses SameSite=Lax and is Secure when served over HTTPS. Its ordinary lifetime is seven days. The session holds your account link and the security token used to protect changes; it does not place a readable password in the browser.
Confirmed breaks
The skoptic_break cookie links this browser to a confirmed play-break record. Its duration follows the break you explicitly chose. It helps enforce the same pause after sign-out and prevents a new guest session from bypassing that pause.
Your requested settings
Skoptic may save the motion, sound, display and consent choices you make. These values support the experience you requested. Clearing browser data can reset local choices, sign you out or remove a guest pass, while registered-account records stay with the account until you change or delete them.
Optional measurement
Optional usage measurement requires a separate choice and remains off before that choice. Accepting the Terms or opening an account does not grant optional consent. No optional service is activated merely because a preference is stored. Privacy settings and private account or play pages remain subject to their stated restrictions.
Change your choice
Open Cookie Preferences from the footer to review the current choice, save a different optional setting or withdraw it. Withdrawing affects future optional measurement and does not remove processing that is needed to keep the functions you request working. You can also use your browser's own storage controls, remembering that blocking essential session cookies can stop sign-in and free play from working.

Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google. Its tag loads with optional storage denied. Measurement starts only after you accept optional cookies and excludes private account and game pages. It records public page visits and browser or device information, and may use first-party _ga cookies to distinguish visits. We do not send your email, date of birth, recovery links or Playbook notes to Analytics. Google may process this information in the United States and other countries. Open Cookie Preferences to withdraw consent for future measurement.
